How will you respond?
One of my husband’s favorite things to do is go to a cemetery and walk around looking at tombstones. Each tombstone has a beginning date and an ending date separated by a dash. Everyone can see the date of birth and the date of death but no one sees what happened in that dash – the middle. No one knows just exactly what happened in that dash. No one sees what you did in that dash. That dash is a representation of the life lived here on Earth. The dash is simply a brief moment that will be accounted for in Eternity. One day, we will all stand before Him at the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20) to be asked the question – “What did you do with my son, Jesus?” Did you live for Him? Did you serve Him? Did you tell others about Him? After that – for those who make it – you will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5) also known as the Bema Seat. Here you must answer, “What did you do with the life I gave you?” Did you serve God whole heartedly? Did you pray hard, worship hard, and serve hard? Did you live a life full of service to the King of Kings telling everyone at every opportunity? Depending upon your answer, you will be given Crowns to lay at the Master feet.
Take a moment and think about your answer. How will you respond to these questions? How would you answer if today was the day?
